Revive
Transforming ESG Consultancy Through Digital Innovation
Revive, a consultancy specialising in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) construction guidance, approached CEMET with the vision of digitising their consultancy process. Their aim was to create a structured online platform that would walk clients through complex decision-making in ESG compliance—something especially critical in an industry facing growing regulatory scrutiny and environmental pressure.
With a wealth of domain knowledge but no clear technical pathway, Revive needed help turning their service into a scalable tool. CEMET proposed a comprehensive digital scoping exercise—resulting in a design document that would act as a foundation for the tool’s development.
The Blueprint
At the heart of the proposed platform would be a six-stage guided process that replicates Revive’s consultancy journey—from initial goal setting through to post-project evaluation. Recognising the practical challenges of such an ambitious vision, CEMET recommended a phased approach: initially focusing on Stages 1–3 to deliver immediate value and demonstrate return on investment, while building a framework to accommodate later phases.
This modular thinking extended into system architecture. CEMET designed a scalable web-based application architecture that prioritised accessibility across desktop and mobile platforms—ideal for business users. A robust SQL database design was recommended to handle complex data queries and preserve data integrity across user sessions and form submissions.
To support feature development, the report also outlined essential backend technologies, user access models, and hosting considerations. In addition to technical recommendations, CEMET also produced an entity relationship diagram (ERD), user type breakdowns, and practical feature suggestions for goal tracking, reporting, and audit preparation.
The Impact
CEMET’s research and guidance gave Revive a clear technical roadmap for turning their manual ESG consultancy into a scalable Software as a Service (SaaS) platform. With this blueprint, Revive can now move confidently into development, secure in the knowledge that their platform will be robust, user-friendly, and adaptable to evolving ESG standards. This first step has positioned Revive not only to streamline their own operations but to scale their impact across the construction and property sectors.
