HTS Group

Laying the Foundation for a Transformative Health IT Platform

Health Tech Services Group (HTS Group) is an innovative healthcare organisation committed to improving accessibility and care for patients with specific transport and clinical needs. With a strong focus on serving elderly individuals, disabled people, and non-emergency patients, HTS Group is pioneering a mobile platform that merges two critical services: Care Safe Mobility (CSM) and Clinic at Homes (CAH).

This dual-service model aims to provide a seamless experience that combines specialist non-emergency patient transportation with at-home clinical services, supporting individuals undergoing regular treatments such as dialysis and chemotherapy. With ambitions to implement advanced features such as real-time GPS tracking, CCTV monitoring, and remote patient oversight, HTS Group required a solid technical foundation to move forward with development.

HTS Group approached CEMET with the goal of undertaking focused research to identify and assess the key technologies, development frameworks, and risk considerations necessary for the creation of a robust and scalable Health IT platform.

What Did We Do?

CEMET’s research began by exploring the relevance and advantages of Agile methodology to help HTS Group better understand the processes involved in software development. Particular attention was given to selecting suitable cross-platform frameworks that would support both mobile and desktop environments, offering long-term flexibility and maintainability.

How Did We Do It?

A critical part of the research focused on identifying secure, reliable APIs for user authentication and payment processing—both of which are essential for handling sensitive user data and providing a seamless onboarding experience. Alongside this, the project investigated technologies for real-time patient monitoring and vehicle oversight, including CCTV integration, GPS telemetry, and remote health data capture.

CEMET also carried out a review of database solutions, evaluating platforms that could handle large volumes of sensitive patient data while remaining compliant with data protection regulations. A cost analysis was conducted to estimate the investment required for key API integrations and third-party services, enabling HTS Group to plan their next phase with a clear understanding of the associated financial implications.

In addition, CEMET provided recommendations on the technical skillsets HTS Group would need to bring on board in order to support future development. A risk assessment was also undertaken, evaluating user flows and accessibility considerations to ensure that the platform would be inclusive, intuitive, and easy to use across a range of user types.

A detailed report was delivered at the conclusion of the project, summarising all research insights and offering actionable next steps for HTS Group’s development team.

CEMET’s support has given HTS Group the clarity and technical direction needed to move confidently into the development phase of their healthcare platform. The research offers practical, industry-specific recommendations across multiple domains—ranging from software architecture and user interface design to payment systems and patient safety technologies.

With this foundation in place, HTS Group is well-positioned to deliver an application that meets the needs of vulnerable patient groups, care providers, and healthcare organisations. By combining transport and clinical services into a single, user-friendly platform, they are set to bring an innovative solution to a critical area of healthcare delivery in the UK.

CEMET is proud to continue to support HTS through their development. To find out more about their latest work visit their website or follow them via LinkedIn.
