Alex has a BSc in Electrical\Electronics Engineering, an MSC and a PhD in communication engineering from the University of Manchester and Staffordshire University respectively. His PhD thesis focused on the Quality of Service for multimedia and control applications over Mobile Ad-hoc Network. Whilst at Staffordshire University, he was involved in teaching at both undergraduate and masters level in telecommunication Engineering.
He also worked as a Senior Research Associate at the University of Portsmouth. His previous roles utilised machine learning and statistical analysis for fault prediction in electro-mechanical systems for Marine, transport and Industrial applications.
Alex’s research interest includes real-time control system, wireless sensor networks, Quality of Service (QoS) for wireless application, Network control system over Mobile Ad-hoc Networks (MANETs) machine learning, condition monitoring, classification and decision making, Fuzzy data modelling, Digital and Analogue Communication and embedded systems.
Alex enjoys the outdoors - long walks, travelling, exploring new places and sports.
