CEMET Launch Event
On the 8th of March 2017, the Centre of Excellence in Mobile and Emerging Technologies held their official launch at the Village Hotel in Cardiff. The event introduced the Centre to the industry, Welsh Government, and other funded initiatives. With talks by Julie Morgan AM, Prof. Helen Langton Deputy Vice Chancellor, Mark Griffiths CEMET Co-Director and Dr Luke Anderson and Dr Stephanie Campbell from Vision Game Labs.
Welsh Industry Cyber Security Summit 2018
CEMET worked with parterns TARIAN, University of South Wales' Cyber, Welsh Government, Qinetiq, Alert Logic and Wale's Cyber Security Clusters to bring the four pillars of Cyber Security together for knowledge transfer and networking. Law Enforcement, Government, Business and Academia shared their view on the threat of cyber.
Emerging Tech Fest
CEMET partnered with Innovation Point, Innovate UK, Knowledge Transfer Network, ESTnet and Airbus Endeavr to bring the Emerging Tech Fest to North Wales. The event discussed how emerging tech will have an impact on business in the future and why we should be looking now at what we can do to stay ahead of the curve.
Rethink Reality Event
On the 15th of November 2017, CEMET held an event focusing on Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR) and Mixed Reality (MR), at the Park Plaza in Cardiff. The aim of the event was to share knowledge of VR, AR and MR and inspire businesses to use these technologies to develop their products, processes and services. The event brought Academia, Industry and Businesses together to showcase these technologies.
CEMET Emerging Technology Zone
CEMET sponsored this years’ Emerging Technology Zone at the Digital Festival held at the Wales Millennium Centre on the 21st and 22nd of May 2018. With over 2,000 attendees and a 100 speakers over the two days, Wales’ biggest technology event brought tech companies from across Wales and beyond to learn, network and exhibit.
