Digital Festival 2018

CEMET sponsored this years’ Emerging Technology Zone at the Digital Festival held at the Wales Millennium Centre on the 21st and 22nd of May 2018. With over 2,000 attendees and a 100 speakers over the two days, Wales’ biggest technology event brought tech companies from across Wales and beyond to learn, network and exhibit.

The Emerging Tech Zone drew a lot of attention with delegates eager to learn about new innovative products being developed in Wales. CEMET clients Motion Rail showcased their product to no other than the AM for transport Ken Skates who had a go on their Virtual Reality experience teaching children to cross foot and level railway crossing safely. He wasn’t the only AM to visit as Julie James was also eager to find out more about the amazing work our clients have been doing.

Near Me Now had local councillors itching to get their products on their high street and Moe the Monkey, cheeky as ever, wowed the police with its potential to speak with vulnerable children. Prizsm was also there

showcasing an innovative Cyber Security solution that is GDPR compliance along with VR Go Chair with their hands-free VR experience. Immersity were also present with their walking on ice and VR treadmill and Alpha Bio with their biometric fingerprint solution to a key free future.

Exhibitors drew the crowd in by taking to the stage between 1pm-2pm on both days. CEMET Commercial Manager Matthew Smith explained why it was important for companies to adopt an R&D strategy. The exhibitors shared their experience with developing Emerging Technologies and inspiring delegates to do the same.

The Digital Festival allowed CEMET to showcase the great collaborative work we have done with our clients over the last year. We would like to thank Innovation Point for such a great platform and successful event.
