Akram completed his PhD from the University of Bath in 1991 and is now Associate Head of the school of Engineering at the University of South Wales.
He has over 15 years’ experience in development and management in engineering, information and creative technologies. He also has extensive experience in developing strategies relating to student experience, engagement and student retention. Akram has over 24 years’ experience in wireless and mobile radio systems and technologies and has a vast and varied background in broadband systems particularly at very high frequencies. Akram is a Chartered Engineer (CEng) and a fellow of the Institute of Engineering and Technology (FIET). He has been on a number of overseas accreditation and course validations and served as external examiner. He is also an active member of the IET Academic Professional Accreditation team and is a member of the IET Academic Accreditation Committee (AAC). He shares his vast knowledge and experience with the CEMET Team.
